For many mothers and fathers, it is tempting to believe in the illusion that raising a child depends on following manuals. There are many parenting models and, despite their existence, caregivers continue to suffer from guilt and fear of not doing a good job. Therefore, instead of looking for ready-made answers, it is increasingly necessary to develop a new perspective on parenting. In this sense, Lua Barros uses her experience as a parenting educator and mother to, instead of proposing formulas or recipes, raise questions. The questions she raises are based on her own experiences and educational theories, with the aim of leading the reader to perceive themselves in the process of raising a child and, mainly, to (re)educate themselves to face healthier parenting.
